ODLL Implementation at the Central University of Tamil Nadu


Oréll Digital Language Lab has been implemented at the Central University of Tamil Nadu on October 18, 2012.

Nowadays, authorities of the educational institutions are very keen to introduce modern technologies into education for enhancing the language proficiency and communicative skills of students.

The invention of digital language lab obviously has created new trends in the conventional language teaching methodology. Oréll Digital Language Lab (ODLL) is a new generation multimedia language lab specifically designed for educational institutions of any size. This client specific language learning software is made to disseminate free flowing communication with excellent pronunciation.

The implementation of ODLL at the Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur, was done by Aneesh K Murali, the Area Manager of Oréll (Cochin) on October 18, 2012. Mr. Venkatakrishnan, the Deputy Registrar of the University contacted Oréll coordinators on behalf of the institution and made all arrangements for the installation and the whole process including the post-installation training session was completed successfully.

About Central University of Tamil Nadu: The Central University of Tamil Nadu located in the Thiruvarur district of Tamil Nadu, India was established by an Act of Parliament (Act No.25) ,2009. The foundation stone was laid by Shri. Kapil Sibal, Honourable Union Minister of Human Resources Development, in the presence of Dr. Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi, then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The University aims at promoting innovation in teaching-learning process, interdisciplinary studies and research, and gives special attention to the improvement of the socio-economic conditions of the people and also their academic, intellectual and cultural development.
